SettingShallow water

Water depths of 20–100 m keep the licence within a conventional shallow-water operating environment.

ContextNearby discoveries

Sinapa, Dome Flore and Dome Gea provide nearby evidence of a working petroleum system.

Next technical step3D seismic

The planned 3D survey is intended to improve definition of Rubane and the wider lead inventory before a drilling decision.

MSGBC BasinPetroleum-system context

The MSGBC is now a producing Atlantic-margin basin. For CAP's acreage, the most relevant nearby references are Sangomar and FAN west of Djiffere, and Dome Flore, Dome Gea and Sinapa around the Guinea-Bissau shelf.

Host countriesSenegal & Guinea-Bissau
Senegal

CAP operates Djiffere with Petrosen as the national oil company. Senegal has an established offshore sector and a service base that can support exploration activity.

Guinea-Bissau

CAP operates Blocks 1 and 5B with Petroguin as the national oil company. The two licences cover both shallow-water shelf and deepwater slope settings.

Operating approach

CAP’s stated commitments cover health, safety, environment and security, alongside anti-bribery and corruption policies.
