Who we are
CAP Energy Plc is the controller of personal information used to handle enquiries and operate this website. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 05351398. Our registered office is Berkeley Square House, Berkeley Square, London W1J 6BD, United Kingdom.
For privacy questions or requests, contact info@capenergy-plc.com.
Contacting CAP
When you submit our contact form, we receive your name, email address and message, together with any company, country or subject information you provide. If you email CAP directly, we also receive any attachments and other information you choose to include. The CAP colleague responsible for the enquiry mailbox uses this information to respond to your enquiry. Enquiries are not used for marketing.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact the company and responding to their requests. Providing information is voluntary, but we need enough detail to answer you. Please include only information relevant to your enquiry.
Submitting an enquiry
When you select Send enquiry, the website securely submits your details to our Cloudflare-hosted service, which uses Resend to deliver the enquiry to info@capenergy-plc.com. Your email address is included so that CAP can reply to you.
The website does not save your form entries in browser local or session storage, or in a separate website database. Your browser may retain information according to its own settings. Submitted enquiries become part of CAP's email correspondence.
Website hosting and security
Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. It processes technical information associated with requests, including IP addresses, requested page addresses and browser information, to deliver the site and protect its services against abuse. Our lawful basis for using this service is our legitimate interest in providing a secure, reliable website.
Cloudflare also processes certain technical data for its own service and security purposes, as explained in its privacy policy.
Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated spam. Cloudflare processes technical signals, including your IP address and browser and device characteristics, for this verification. We also limit repeated submissions using technical request information. These measures support our legitimate interest in protecting the enquiry service. Read Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy notice for information about its processing.
Cookies and tracking
CAP does not use analytics or advertising trackers on this website. Fonts, images and maps are served with the website. The contact form uses a short-lived security verification token. Turnstile's optional pre-clearance cookie feature is not enabled.
Links to other websites open services governed by their own privacy and cookie notices.
Service providers and international processing
Our service providers process information needed to operate the website and email service. These include Cloudflare for website delivery, enquiry transmission and security; Resend for delivery of contact-form emails; and Microsoft 365, provided through GoDaddy, for CAP's email mailbox.
Resend processes the information submitted through the contact form, including your name, email address and message. Resend stores message content and delivery logs in the United States, including when emails are sent through its Ireland region. Its data-processing agreement includes standard contractual clauses and UK transfer provisions.
These providers operate internationally and may process information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Their data-processing terms provide safeguards for applicable international transfers, including standard contractual clauses and UK transfer provisions. You can read the terms for Cloudflare, Microsoft and GoDaddy, or contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
How long information is kept
We retain enquiry correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, manage any resulting business relationship, and meet applicable legal, regulatory and record-keeping requirements. The retention period depends on the nature of the enquiry and any related business or legal obligations.
Resend retains email content and delivery logs for 30 days while our account is active. Its backups persist for seven days. These periods apply to Resend's copies, separately from correspondence in CAP's mailbox. See Resend's data-handling information for details.
Cloudflare determines retention of technical data it processes for its own purposes by reference to service and security needs and legal obligations, as described in its privacy policy.
Your rights and questions
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access or correct your personal information, request its deletion or restrict its use.
Right to object: You can object to our use of your personal information where we rely on legitimate interests.
